LEBYAZHYE OIL FIELD
Lebyazhye Field is on the coastline of the Caspian Sea in the South Emba region of the Pre-Caspian basin.
Full Field Development Project approval (FDP) was granted in Q1/2026. The existing trial production facilities will be upsized to commercial production facilities in line with the FDP, and further appraisal will be carried out. It is scheduled to commence commercial oil production in Q2/2027 with a targeted daily production rate of up to 150 tons/day.
EAST MUNAIBAI – BAKHYT OIL AND GAS CONDENSATE FIELD
East Munaibai – Bakhyt Field is located 30 km South East of Lebyazhye field. The development is a five-year sequential development of a number of gas condensate and oil-filled reservoirs on the East Munaibai and Bakhyt structures.
The FDP has been approved, and the production period for Munaibai-Bakhyt has been granted from June 2025 to March 2048. Gas condensate production is expected to commence in Q4/2026 from the Bakhyt T-II Sandstone, with sequential development of the other reservoirs.
The Surface Facilities and Infrastructures will be constructed in two Phases in Munaibai Field.
Phase-I (2024-2026)
Construction of Surface Facilities and Infrastructures in the Bakhyt area of Munaibai Field:
- The surface facilities include an infield Gas Gathering Station with incoming wells. From there, the raw gas will be supplied to the Tolkyn Gas Metering Station via a new 8”x22 km gas pipeline and sent to a 3rd party’s Gas Processing Plant for further processing and delivery to the Qazaq Gas (National Gas Company of RoK) pipeline system in Borankol District.
- The target date for commencement of commercial gas and condensate production from the Bakhyt area is Q4/2026.
- The forecasted peak gas and condensate production rates are 0.540 MMm3/day and 165 tons/day, respectively.
Phase-II (2026-2028)
Construction of Surface Facilities and Infrastructures in the East Munaibai area of Munaibai Field:
- A new Complex Gas Processing Plant will be constructed to process the sour gas from the East Munaibai Production area. At the initial stage, the project considers 9 production wells to be hooked up with 2 Gas Gathering systems, full gas treatment to be carried out at the GPP, and sales gas to be supplied via a new gas pipeline to the “Qazaq Gas” pipeline system in Oporny District.
- Stable condensate will be trucked from the East Munaibai Facilities to the Third Party’s Oil Storage and Pumping Station in the Oporny Terminal. There, it will either be loaded into railway cars or pumped to the KTO Oil Trunk Line System for delivery to both the domestic and export markets.
- The target date for commencement of commercial gas, condensate and oil production from the East Munaibai area is Q4/2030.
- The forecasted peak gas, condensate and oil production rates are 1.7 MMm3/day, 380 tons/day, and 552 tons/day, respectively.
